Self-care in 2026… let’s make it far less dramatic

Somewhere along the way, self-care turned into spa days, retreats in Bali, and colour-coded morning routines that start at 5am.

… meanwhile most of us are just trying to drink water and remember where we left our keys.

A set of car keys
Now where are my keys?

So for 2026, I’m voting for the easy version of self-care, the one that doesn’t require a new diary, a Himalayan salt lamp, or a spiritual awakening on a mountain.

Here’s what it actually looks like:

• Choosing a cup of tea and five quiet minutes

• Stretching your hips while the kettle boils

• Deciding not to answer that text immediately

• Breathing before you react

• Getting into bed earlier because you deserve rest, not burnout

• Saying “no” without writing a four-paragraph explanation as to why you don't want to go on a night out.

That’s it. That’s self-care. No pressure. No perfection. Just tiny moments of kindness towards yourself, consistently enough that things start to shift.

And honestly? Those little, everyday choices make the biggest difference. They’re achievable. They’re gentle. And they don’t require you to become a completely different person by Tuesday.

This gentle approach is what inspired the Radiant Path Programme, simple tools, small changes, big impact.
